## Position: Mining Engineer
The Mining Engineer role at KPC is a pivotal function designed to ensure the seamless integration of mine planning with daily operational execution. This position offers a unique opportunity for professionals to manage large-scale contractor activities while utilizing cutting-edge digital tools to optimize coal production and site safety.
Core Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical and operational integrity of our mining sites. Key duties include:
* Operational Planning and Evaluation: Assessing daily, weekly, and monthly pit designs, including mining sequences, stripping ratios, and dump sequences to ensure targets are met.
* Field Monitoring and Inspections: Conducting rigorous site visits to oversee land clearing, topsoil management, and haulage operations, ensuring all activities align with pre-defined operational blueprints.
* Contractor Management: Analyzing contractor performance, providing technical feedback on equipment utilization, and identifying opportunities for productivity enhancement.
* Coal Quality Coordination: Managing the end-to-end flow of coal from the pit to the port, which includes ROM management, blending strategies, and crushing activities to meet export specifications.
* Strategic Analysis: Evaluating short-term mine schedules and forecasts to mitigate operational risks and capitalize on business performance opportunities.
* Compliance and Safety: Monitoring all operational progress to ensure strict adherence to approved budgets, contractual agreements, and the company's high Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) standards.
Professional Qualifications and Requirements

1. Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology from a recognized institution.
2. Professional Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in open-pit mining operations. Specific experience in contractor management within the coal sector is highly desirable.
3. Technical Proficiency: Mastery of MS Office and specialized mining software, with a strong preference for candidates skilled in MINEX for pit design and scheduling.
4. Digital Integration: Familiarity with business intelligence tools (such as Power BI), data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for operational reporting and business improvement.
5. Administrative Skills: A solid grasp of contract administration, tender management, reconciliation processes, and budgeting.
6. Communication: Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to negotiate and communicate complex technical data to various stakeholders.
