## Role Overview
The Accounting position at our Nila Breeding Center is a vital role designed to ensure financial precision, cost efficiency, and operational transparency. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between financial reporting and field-level aquaculture operations, providing management with the data-driven insights necessary to make informed strategic decisions.
## Key Responsibilities
As a member of our finance team, you will be responsible for the integrity of our financial records and the optimization of our production costs. Your core duties will include:
* Financial Reporting: Maintaining accurate transaction records and preparing comprehensive financial statements.
* Cost Management: Calculating cultivation costs, including feed, seed procurement, and general operational expenses, while accurately determining the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
* Asset Monitoring: Tracking biological assets, such as fish stock levels, and performing regular inventory audits.
* Partnership Accounting: Managing the documentation for partnership agreements and profit-sharing distributions.
* Operational Analysis: Conducting detailed variance analysis, monitoring cost controls, and preparing profitability reports per pond and per production cycle.
* Decision Support: Providing analytical support to management to improve overall financial performance.
## Candidate Qualifications
We are looking for a professional who combines technical financial expertise with a hands-on approach to operational reality. To qualify for this position, you must possess:
1. Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Experience: At least one year of professional experience in accounting or costing functions.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized accounting software, with a strong understanding of financial statements and COGS calculations.
4. Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and effective communication skills.
5. Operational Adaptability: A genuine willingness to learn and understand field-level aquaculture operations.
6. Preferred Assets: Previous experience in the fishery or manufacturing sectors is highly advantageous.
