## Global Flavorist Trainee Program 2023

## Production Operator

Production Operators play an instrumental role in maintaining seamless manufacturing workflows, ensuring that every operational batch meets our uncompromising standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
* Coordinate assigned production processing categories while strictly following Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.
* Uphold food safety, quality regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all operational steps.
* Operate and monitor processing equipment safely within designated areas.
* Maintain accurate records on all workplace production data sheets.
* Conduct routine in-process analyses in collaboration with Quality Control analysts.
* Report any operational anomalies immediately to supervisors or managers.
* Implement 5S methodologies to maintain an orderly and high-standard workspace.
* Recommend procedural improvements to drive continuous manufacturing optimization.

## Quality Control (QC) Technician

Quality Control Technicians serve as the guardians of product integrity, ensuring that raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products comply with rigorous global standards.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
* Complete necessary training to achieve full operational qualification under global LEAN QC workflows.
* Manage incoming sample reception, prioritization, segregation, and testing schedules in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Execute complex routine and non-routine tasks independently, including sample preparation, analytical testing, sensory evaluations, and accurate data entry into internal Firmenich systems.
* Analyze raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods according to established protocols.
* Lead and participate in daily flavor sensory evaluation sessions, spanning from preparation to assessment.
* Maintain and organize retained sample rooms to ensure ongoing reference availability and validity.
* Prepare micro-samples for third-party shipping or subcontracted testing while tracking turnaround times for timely quality disposition.
* Ensure all laboratory equipment undergoes regular validation, calibration, and verification via the Firmenich QC Maintenance System.
* Abide by Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), site HSE protocols, food safety guidelines, and GMP regulations.
* Maintain a pristine workspace and manage the procurement of laboratory supplies and reagents to prevent shortages.
* Escalate systemic issues proactively to relevant stakeholders and stay informed on emerging industry technologies.

Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or equivalent fields (fresh graduates are welcome, or those with at least one year of experience in flavors, fragrances, food, chemical, or pharmaceutical sectors).
* Specialized expertise in microbiology is highly advantageous.
* A continuous improvement mindset coupled with exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
* Strong communication and interpersonal aptitudes.
